Where We Work

Myanmar
Military rule and armed conflict have displaced over a million people—mostly ethnic minorities—and devastated civil society infrastructure in Myanmar. We support grassroots activists who deliver critical care and services to their communities, document human rights violations, build solidarity, and continue to organize while laying the groundwork for peace, justice, and accountability.

The Philippines
Authoritarian populism, political violence, and entrenched corruption have undermined a proud tradition of human rights in the Philippines, as social and economic conditions have deteriorated. We support more than 20 organizations with bold visions for economic, political, and social equality.

Thailand
Deep political polarization and repression of dissent persist in Thailand. We invest in community activists who, despite the challenges, defend fundamental freedoms, resist land grabs, and advance economic, environmental, and political justice for marginalized people.
Campaigning for LGBTQ+ Rights in the Philippines
LGBTQ+ rights are under attack across the world. But in the Philippines, activists are fighting for a new law that could change the lives of millions. Watch our short film, More Equal, More Happy: The Road to LGBTQ+ Rights in the Philippines, and meet the courageous and vibrant LGBTQ+ activists who are countering divisive bigotry with a campaign of hope and equality.
The Fund for Global Human Rights currently invests in and supports more than 500 organizations and grassroots groups around the world. Together, we’re building a diverse global movement to advance:
